ANGELS ARE A TEN
The Angels started their weekend series in the Bronx with a bang, scoring often in a 10 to 6 win against the New York Yankees. It was great to see the Halos stop their losing streak at two but, they where suppose to win tonight. Tyler Clippard was making only his second start tonight for the Yankees. I was surprised Joe Torre pulled Clippard after only four innings. His pitch count wasn't high. He was struggling but the Yankees where still in the ball game. Then Torre replaces Clippard with another rookie. That was the beginning of the end for New York.
Tomorrow and Sunday will be much more of a test for the Angels. The Yankees will be sending Chen-Mimg Wang and Mike Mussina to the mound Saturday and Sunday. Right now the Angels are giving up way to many runs. The last three games the Halo pitching have given up 8, 12, and 6 runs. I can't see the Angels winning the next two games giving up 6 runs or more. If they continue to give up runs like they have been, the offense won't be able to keep up.
Just ask the Yankee offense what it's like to have the pressure to score lots of runs every night.
It was great to see the Angels win tonight. Good teams win the games their suppose to win. Even against the great New York Yankees.
JUST ANOTHER HALO VICTORY!!! ( ANGEL RECORD 29 WINS - 20 LOSES )
